About the position

The Construction division is the largest division within Alimak. This is a challenging and inspiring position in a growing and dynamic global organization. As a Division Controller, you will get a senior business-oriented position where you will be working with both strategic and operational financial questions. You will be a member and a key contributor to the management team and work closely with the EVP to ensure that each reporting unit reporting in the Business Area is operating in a financially sound way, are on track vs budget, forecast and strategy and reporting an accurate financial result for the Division.

You will suggest and refine relevant KPIs for the Division and drive these via Group functions and local management. You will also drive reviews of bids, quotations and orders focusing on financial and commercial. Follow up on orders and projects across units to understand the true Business Area result from these.

The controller leads efforts to optimize division cash-flows, focusing particularly on working capital management and should have the capacity to support the Division management team in managing certain risks such as credit or fraud risks.

The position is located at Alimak Groups head office in central Stockholm where you will have flexible working hours and hybrid work conditions. The position also includes travels to visit the subsidiaries, most frequently in Europe.

Your main responsibilities

  • Ensure the Division strategy is built on financial forecasted growth plans per initiatives including GM and EBITA contribution and monitor the performance as part of the division KPI’s.
  • Work closely with the division leadership team to quantify and commercialize initiatives such as digitalization and sustainability.
  • Work closely with the division sales directors to ensure governance and DOA is followed regarding pricing and capex requirements for rental fleets.
  • Work with and prepare as required customer, product, region & unit result analysis to understand cash generation, profitability and sales and build for future planning.
  • Perform analytical review on monthly management reports and provide sufficient detail with variance explained for better understanding of performance.
  • In area of improvement required, agree on action plan with Division Manager/Finance Manager and follow up regularly.

Your profile

You have an academic degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar with a solid background from business controlling in an international corporate group. You have operational experience from processes like production and sales. You are used to support, influence, and lead senior stakeholders. You have a strong ERP understanding and ability to utilize and analyze reporting and Business Intelligence software.

Furthermore, you are fluent in English at negotiation level, both written and spoken.

Personal skills

To be successful you are a result- and business minded person with a commercial understanding and a strategic view in addition to a “get-things-done” attitude. You can communicate professionally with different levels in the organization and establish relations with stakeholders within Alimak. You are prestigeless, service-oriented, and can easily adapt to different situations and people. You are curious and enjoy an international environment where collaboration is essential.
