About the position

In this role you will be performing a number of tasks mainly focusing on supporting the Sales & Services organisation. Sales & Services is part of the business area that handles the business insurances at If, Business Area Commercial and has a key role in formulating and materializing Commercial’s market strategy.

You are part of the (Sales & Service) management team and will be responsible for the analysis and follow up for the organisation. To provide the management team with insights and support in decision making is an extensive part of the role. You will also have a close cooperation with other Business Controllers within the Nordic organisation and with the Controllers at Group level. The position is located at If’s head office in Bergshamra, Solna and reports to Head of Business and Financial Control.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Controller, you will primarily work with the following tasks:

  • Business partnering to Sales & Service Sweden by providing relevant insights and suggesting improvement opportunities for value creation
  • Analyzing the financial performance and compile monthly and quarterly reporting to management for Sales & Services
  • Support management team in ad-hoc analysis, projects, and business cases
  • Follow-up of KPIs and other strategic targets
  • Performing analyses and gathering insights to understand market and competitor environment
  • Participating to the plan & forecast process
  • Participating in business development projects

Your profile

You have a university degree in Business & Economics or Industrial Engineering. You have about 5 years of relevant work experience within controlling, finance, or management consulting, preferably within BIG4. You are fluent in Swedish and good English skills and have a high degree of literacy in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Power Point. You have a general understanding of databases and interest in BI tools like Power BI.

Personal skills

As a person you are a high performing individual with a strong interest in business, financial analysis and strategy. You have a high degree of diligence and strong analytical skills with the ability to structure and communicate complex information and data. You are a fast learner with the ability to see the big picture but also understand the importance of details. You have power of initiative, are self-motivated, and can work autonomously as well as in groups. You are a self-motivated person with a proactive attitude, and self-driven way of working.
