Teledyne FLIR is now seeking to strengthen the organization by recruiting this newly created role, Director Production Control. The position will be responsible for the oversight of the cost accounting and production controlling globally for the Solutions Line of Business, headquartered in Täby, Sweden.

Your main responsibilities

In this position, you will develop and execute a strategy for cost accounting, production controlling, and inventory management cycles. You will manage a team of five global cost accounting and production controllers of key manufacturing locations in Europe, Eastern Europe, and the United States.

You will partner with the VP of Manufacturing to ensure meeting quarterly and annual financial metrics and develop Key Performance Indicators to evaluate the success of the Solutions production facilities to drive long-term decision making. You will also be partnering with the Director of FP&A to support the financial forecast and implement standardized forecasting and variance analysis for all factories.

Your team of finance professionals around the globe will work closely with you to implement strategies and processes at the local level. As a member on the Solutions finance leadership team, you will be an integral player in the long-term financial success of the enterprise, driving margin expansion, reducing waste and inefficiency, and bringing new innovative ideas to the organization.

You will report to VP Finance for the Solutions organization and be located at the headquarters in Täby, Stockholm but the position will occasionally include travels to the production sites globally.

Your profile

  • Relevant academic degree within finance or accounting
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in a global environment
  • Experience from a managerial or team leader role
  • Extensive work from production controlling or cost accounting
  • Financial management responsibilities of one or more plants
  • Analytical thinker who has ability to synthesize data into action-based recommendations
  • Fluent in English and Swedish, speaking and writing
  • Excellent MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills

  • Work collaboratively with other functions across Teledyne FLIR to solve problems
  • Self-starter with Inquisitive mind, who asks questions and pursues solving challenging, ambiguous problems
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, present to senior levels of management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment
