The Production Control Manager together with a small team will be responsible for leading the financial and accounting duties around production, inventory, cost planning and analysis for the Taby, Sweden operation.
You will be part of the Production Management Team as the finance representative. The position reports to Director of Production Control.
Your main responsibilities
This role partners with the Production organization to ensure proper accounting of related activity, ensuring Production is meeting their quarterly and annual financial targets, and identifying and supporting initiatives to improve the overall financial performance of the Taby operation. The Production Control Manager will partner with Production Controller peers around the globe to drive consistency in accounting and financial processes.
You will be responsible for reporting and analyzing budget to actual variances in order to provide recommendations for production team to help improve results on a go forward basis. You will also establish annual Business Plan for the Taby, Sweden location, partnering with stakeholders and coordinationg with finance peers around the globe. The role supports the Business Controller organization and provides insights and commentary on factory performance to help forecast overall financial performance for the organization
In addition, you will perform month end close responsibilities, including (but not limited to), accruing WIP, performing variance analysis, calculating excess and obsolete reserves.
Your profile
- Relevant academic degree within finance or accounting
- Extensive work experience as a production controller
- Analytical thinker who has ability to synthesize data into action-based recommendations
- Fluent in English and Swedish, speaking and writing
- Excellent MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
- Knowledge in establishing and running PowerBI dashboards and database experience considered a plus

- Work collaboratively with other functions across Teledyne FLIR to solve problems
- Self-starter with Inquisitive mind, who asks questions and pursues solving challenging, ambiguous problems
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, present to senior levels of management
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment
