Swedish Match is now seeking to strengthen the Business Unit Norway & Denmark’s Finance team by employing an Assistant Business Controller with a genuine interest in finance, analysis, strategy, and IT systems. About the position

In this role you will be performing a number of tasks mainly focusing on assisting in analysis and follow-up of the Business Unit’s financial performance. You will support management in decision making, ensure efficient business practices and participate in various ad-hoc projects. You will be part of Business Unit Norway & Denmark, and work in close collaboration with other Business Controllers within Europe Division. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior colleagues in a highly professional and international environment. You will be part of a high performing team, working with core strategic and financial questions in a very successful consumer goods company. The position is located at the Group’s head office in central Stockholm.

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Business Controller, you will primarily work with the following tasks:

  • Assist in analyzing the financial performance and compile monthly and quarterly reporting to management for Business Unit Norway & Denmark
  • Support management as well as the staff functions in ad-hoc analysis, projects, and business cases
  • Assist in the follow-up of KPIs and other strategic targets
  • Assist in pricing processes as well as analysis and follow-up on profitability and cost development within the Business Unit
  • Maintain a high level of business understanding through analysis of market development
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects within finance

You will report to the Director Finance & HR, Business Unit Norway & Denmark. The position is a permanent post with an extent of full time.

Your profile

You have a university degree in Business & Economics or Industrial Engineering. You have recently graduated or have 1-2 years of relevant work experience within controlling, accounting, finance, or consulting, preferably within FMCG or a similar fast-paced environment. You are fluent in English and have a high degree of literacy in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.

Personal skills

As a person you are a high performing individual with a strong interest in business, financial analysis and strategy. You have a high degree of diligence and strong analytical skills with the ability to structure and communicate complex information and data. You are a fast learner with the ability to see the big picture but also understand the importance of details. You have power of initiative, are self-motivated, and can work autonomously as well as in groups.
