About the position

As a Junior Business Controller, you will be part of our Group Business Control & Sustainability department within the Group Finance function. The purpose of this department is to follow up, understand and explain the Group’s financial, operational and sustainability performance and development. The team is responsible for assisting management in ensuring ambitious, consistent, financially sound, and high-quality strategies in operating units and on Group level. The department also strives to ensure cost and capital consciousness across the organization and to provide input to the Group Management team on sustainability strategy and target setting.

As a Junior Business Controller, you will be responsible for a number of recurring tasks mainly focusing on assisting in analysis and follow-up of the Group’s business and sustainability performance for management and board purposes. You will also participate in various ad-hoc projects. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior management in a highly professional and international environment, which promotes personal development and professionalism. You will be part of a high performing team, working with core strategic and financial questions in a very successful consumer goods company. The position is located at the Group’s head office in Stockholm City.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Business Controller, you will primarily work with the following tasks:

  • Assist in analyzing Group and Operating Units financial and sustainability performance and compile monthly and quarterly management reporting to group management and board
  • Take part in the group long-range planning and forecasting process
  • Maintain and develop system requirements for group financial and sustainability reporting purposes
  • Perform periodic peer benchmarking to provide input on financial and sustainability strategy and target setting, leveraging insight and best practices in the fast-moving consumer goods sector
  • Participate in defining standards for management reporting from operating units 
  • Participate in smaller and larger ad-hoc projects e.g. M&A activities and strategy development  
  • Perform ad-hoc business analysis

You will report to Director Group Business Control & Sustainability. The position is a permanent post with an extent of full time.

Your profile

You have a university degree in Business & Economics. You have recently graduated or have 1-2 years of relevant work experience within controlling, accounting, finance, or consulting, preferably within FMCG or a similar fast-paced environment. You are fluent in English and have a high degree of literacy in Microsoft Office products especially Excel.

Personal skills

As a person you are a high performing individual with a strong interest in business/financial analysis and strategy. You have a high degree of diligence and strong analytical skills with the ability to structure and communicate complex information and data. You are a fast learner with the ability to see the big picture but also understand the importance of details. You have power of initiative, are self-motivated and can work autonomously as well as in groups.
