ANV Nordic is looking for a Head of Finance with overall responsibility for finance across the Nordic region and Northern Europe. Is this your next challenge?
As Head of Finance, you will have overall responsibility for accounting and financial reporting across the Nordics and Northern Europe, leading a team of four accounting professionals. This is a broad role combining strategic finance leadership with hands-on operational responsibility across financial reporting, planning and forecasting, treasury, governance, risk management and finance operations. As the key finance representative for the Nordic region, you will work closely with local leadership, Group Finance and other internal and external stakeholders. Being a member of the ANV Nordic Management Team you will contribute a financial perspective to the development of the business. You report to the Head of Global Accounting Operations in the US, with a dotted reporting line to the Nordic CEO. The position is based in Stockholm.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the monthly closing process and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Take overall responsibility for accounting across the Nordics and Northern Europe.
- Lead and develop the accounting team
- Act as a business partner to managers and provide financial insights and decision support.
- Be an active member of the ANV Nordic Management Team.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, KPI follow-up and cost allocation.
- Prepare local management reporting and financial analysis.
- Take responsibility for annual reporting, tax returns and external audits.
- Oversee treasury activities and manage the relationship with the local bank.
- Ensure strong governance, internal controls and compliance across the Nordic entities, proactively managing financial and operational risks and continuously improving finance processes and controls.
Who are you?
You are a driven and communicative finance professional who combines strong leadership with a commercial mindset and a hands-on approach. You set clear direction, develop your team and create accountability, while building trust and collaboration across functions and countries. With a strong understanding of business drivers, you use financial insights to influence decisions and balance commercial objectives with sound risk management. You communicate complex financial matters clearly and are comfortable engaging with non-finance colleagues, senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Your profile
You have an academic degree in finance, accounting, business administration or equivalent and several years of experience from a broad finance role, preferably in an international organization. You have solid experience in accounting, closing and financial reporting as well as budgeting, forecasting and business partnering, together with previous leadership experience. Experience from insurance is not required, while a background in a service-based or other intangible business is relevant. US GAAP experience is preferred. Fluency in both Swedish and English is required.
