About the position
As Business Controller, you will step into a newly created position within Business Controlling, reporting to the Business Control Manager. The role has a broad scope, covering P&L, budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet analysis, and cost follow-up, with a strong emphasis on high-quality reporting and data integrity. As this is a new role, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the structure, ways of working, and future development of business controlling processes, while actively contributing to a more data-driven and insight-oriented organization.
A key task in the position is full P&L reporting, including sales and OPEX, where you will be working with reporting tools and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial information. Operating in a price-complex pharmaceutical environment, you will bring together data from multiple sources, ensure consistency, and translate figures into clear, decision-ready reporting. The focus goes beyond analyzing numbers – you will structure, consolidate, and present financial insights that support informed decision-making and create real business impact.
The position is based at Chiesi’s office in central Stockholm and offers the opportunity for hybrid work. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the Nordic organization and with headquarters in Parma. The role offers broad exposure, strong visibility, and excellent opportunities for development and participation in international projects- making it a strong platform for long-term growth within Chiesi.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Act as a business partner to business units and corporate finance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
• Perform P&L and balance sheet analysis, including cost follow-up
• Work with cost of goods sold (COGS) and cost center structures
• Prepare management reporting, analysis, and presentations (tables, Excel models, PPT)
• Contribute to FP&A activities: planning, reporting, and performance analysis
• Take part in global projects and cross-market initiatives
• P&L reporting and contribute to the development of reporting tools and processes
Your profile and qualifications
You thrive in a role where operational responsibility is combined with a strategic perspective, and you enjoy understanding the full financial picture behind the numbers. You are structured, analytical, and comfortable working towards deadlines without compromising quality. As a person, you are transparent and communicative, and you know how to speak up and challenge in a constructive and professional way. Most importantly, you have genuine curiosity and ambition to take analysis to the next level – not just replicating report, but continuously improving them.
You hold an academic degree in finance, business administration or a related field and have some years of experience in business controlling and/or financial controlling, preferably with a clear FP&A focus. You have solid accounting knowledge and are comfortable working with both P&L and balance sheet analysis. You have strong Excel skills and enjoy working in a data-driven way, creating structure and clarity in reporting. You are fluent in English and comfortable working in an international setting.
